"you have to learn to feel of your horse, then your horse can learn to feel of you, then you can both feel of
each other." Bill Dorrance
Here is another one I am asked about. A lot of very balanced great horseman explain this as basically
feeling of the horses feet when you ride. But, I am going to expand on it. The best thing I can do on this
topic is lead you to read 3 great books. True Horsemanship Through Feel, by Bill Dorrance and Leslie
Desmond; True Unity, by Tom Dorrance; and Think Harmony With Horses, by Ray Hunt. I have read them
all a couple of times and they will give you every thing you need to know about feel.
Feeling of a horse goes much deeper then just his feet. It is in his hole body and his mind. And takes a lot of
time to understand and feel it completely. I am still always learning about it. It goes from feeling his feet, to
feeling how much he needs and not giving him anymore and getting out of his way when he gives it.
